B35: Natural Edge Crotch Maple Winged Bowl

Description

This very unique piece is made from locally sourced maple and allows you to clearly imagine where this might have been in the tree before it had to be cut down due to disease.  The beautiful feathering you see in the center of the bowl is what happens when a branch bifurcates from the trunk.  It was turned green and I allowed natural warping to happen during the drying process to add to the natural feel of this bowl.

It measures 14″ x 14″ x 2″, and has a food safe finish.
